YARKA LINEN CANVAS ROLLS

This marvelous series of Linen canvas is produced by a russian factory that has been making artist canvas since 1871. working closely with the Restoration Institute, their chemists have developed a canvas that meets the demanding needs of the painter and does not ignore the demands of the conservationist.

Yarka canvas rolls are double sized with Sturgeon Glue while the canvas is stretched on huge stretchers. After this process it is triple primed with an oil or acrylic based formula. The acrylic formula is made up of Zinc Oxide, Polyvinyl Acetate Adhesive, Photographic Gelatin and Oxybensol. The oil based formula is made up of Zinc Oxide, Sturgeon Glue, Photographic Gelatin, Glycerin, Linseed Oil and Sunflower Oil. After proper curing the canvas is removed from the stretcher bars and rolled.
